Self-hosted, it also avoids per-task pricing that climbs as your volume grows. We still use Make or Zapier when a workflow is simple and you already pay for them, or when your team wants to maintain it in a more visual tool.
Can our n8n workflows and data stay in Canada?
Yes, if we self-host. n8n Cloud runs on n8n's own infrastructure, so when data residency matters under PIPEDA we deploy n8n on a server in a Canadian region that you own and control, and your workflow data doesn't pass through a third-party automation cloud.
